ProtectGuard Color Plant-Based Concrete Stain – Colours and Protects Concrete Against Water, Oil and Dirt

ProtectGuard Color Plant-Based Formula is a concrete stain that colours and protects against water, oil and dirt while making cleaning easier with simple water washing, with no primer. Cleaning can be done with water only mostly. Standard or High Jewellery shades available.

ProtectGuard Color Plant-Based Formula is a concrete colour stain that adds colour, blocks water and oil, and keeps concrete cleaner for longer, without any primer.

Unlike paint, it penetrates directly into concrete instead of forming a layer on top. This allows the material to keep its natural look while gaining protection against everyday damage.

It protects concrete in real conditions:

rain and water infiltration
oil stains from cars, tools or cooking
dirt, pollution and dark marks

The colour remains stable over time thanks to strong UV resistance, even on outdoor concrete exposed to sun and weather. The product does not peel and keeps a natural mineral appearance.

most cleaning can be done with clear water

ProtectGuard Color Plant-Based: one product, two functions and no primer:

1. Water and oil repellent
ProtectGuard Color Plant-Based provides long-lasting protection against the main causes of deterioration like soiling, stains of all types, atmospheric pollution, grease marks, ingress, etc. Treated materials, resistant to water/oil ingress and marks. The cleanliness of the treated surfaces is therefore ensured.

2. Pigmented stain
This breathable color water repellent concrete sealer is a stain tailored for concretes. In contrast to a paint, it is a semi-transparent product which respects the mineral nature of materials. The final colour depends on the colour of the stain and the colour of the material. ProtectGuardColor is available in 126 standard shades or High Jewellery shades,

This impregnating sealer is a non-film forming impregnation product, the material remains permeable to air and water vapour. ProtectGuard Color is a single-component product not requiring the application of a homogenising primer.

Surface preparation :

Apply the product to a clean, dust-free, grease-free and dry surface.

To remove traces of efflorescence, laitance or grout film, use Guard Cleaner® Surface Preparation.

To remove grease stains, use Guard Cleaner® Maintenance.

Rinse carefully until the surface is free of any trace of cleaner.

Application :

Use the product in its pure form: do not dilute it.
Shake the package well before use in order to fully homogenise the pigments with the rest of the composition

Application:
• Use neat – do not dilute.
• Mix the product for at least 3 minutes using a
mechanical agitator to homogenise the pigments
with the rest of the composition.
• Protected drying: 24 hours.
• Optimum effectiveness obtained after 7 days.
Application by HVLP :
• Apply from the bottom up in at least 2 cross coats.
Do not exceed the recommended final consumption
of 120 to 160 g/m2.
• Do not overload.
• Drying time between each coat: 15 to 60 minutes
depending on weather conditions. The 1st coat must
be dry to the touch before applying the 2nd coat.
Application roller:
• Apply from the bottom up in at least 2 cross coats.
Do not exceed the recommended final consumption
of 120 to 160 g/m2.
• Do not overload.
• Drying time between each coat: 15 to 60 minutes
depending on weather conditions. The 1st coat must
be dry to the touch before applying the 2nd coat.
