ImperGuard Color Mineral Stain – Concrete Walls – Opaque Colour Finish, Water Repellent, Keeps Concrete Appearance

Opaque colour finish that evens out tones and protects against rain, dirt and weathering while preserving a natural concrete appearance. Opacifying mineral stain : protects and embellishes concrete

ImperGuard® Color Mineral Stain is a coloured water repellent impregnation designed to tint and even out the appearance of concrete while preserving its natural concrete look.

Its opaque finish provides full colour coverage, helping hide irregular tones and giving a uniform appearance on both new and older concrete. The result is a clean, consistent finish without masking the original character of the material.

The formula is non-film forming and allows the concrete to breathe. It does not create a surface layer and keeps the natural exchange with air and moisture.

It also provides water-repellent protection that limits water penetration and helps reduce damage caused by rain, humidity, frost cycles and dirt build-up. This slows down visible ageing and helps maintain a clean appearance over time.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, it can be applied on vertical and horizontal concrete elements such as facades, walls and architectural structures.

UV resistance helps maintain colour stability over time without fading or yellowing.

Opacifying pigmented mineral stain

ImperGuard Color Mineral Stain is a single component stain that does not require the application of a uniforming primer to obtain an opaque mineral impregnation.

Water-repellent stain

ImperGuard Color Mineral Stain has a water-repellent property. It provides lasting protection against the penetration of water and thus limits the harmful effects of humidity: infiltration, acid rain, erosion, freeze / thaw cycle, formation of mosses and lichens, appearance of efflorescence or saltpetre…

Surface preparation :

  • 1
The substrate, substrate preparation and product application must comply with the latest French unified codes of building practice 59.1.
  • 2
Apply the product to a clean, dust-free, grease-free and dry surface.
  • 3
To remove traces of efflorescence, laitance or grout film, use Guard Cleaner® Surface Preparation.
  • 4
To remove grease stains, use Guard Cleaner® Maintenance.
  • 5
Rinse carefully until the surface is free of any trace of cleaner.
  • 6
Wait for complete drying through, approximately 24 hours before treatment.

Application :

  • Shake the package well before use in order to fully homogenise the pigments with the rest of the composition. Use an electric stirrer.
  • Carry out a preliminary test.

Application with HVLP :

  • Apply from the bottom up in at least 2 cross coats.
  • Do not exceed the recommended final consumption of 120 to 160 g/m2.
  • Do not overload.
  • Drying time between each coat: 15 to 60 minutes depending on weather conditions.
  • The 1st coat must be dry to the touch before applying the 2nd coat.
  • Protected drying: 24 hours
  • Optimum effectiveness obtained after 7 days.

Application with roller (only used for non-textured smooth surfaces):

  • Apply from the bottom up in at least 2 cross coats.
  • Do not exceed the recommended final consumption of 120 to 160 g/m2.
  • Do not overload.
