ImperGuard RF – Deep Penetrating Concrete Water Repellent for Bridge, Pillar, Car park – Reinforcement Corrosion Protection

Water-repellent, corrosion protection. Deep penetrating up to 5 cm. Protects concrete from water, moisture and reinforcement corrosion, even in damp environments. Compliant with Standard EN 1504-2

Its advanced formula penetrates deep into the concrete, up to 5 cm centimetres, creating protection from within rather than only at the surface. This helps prevent water ingress, limits internal damage and significantly reduces the risk of reinforcement corrosion.

The treatment remains effective even in very damp environments and helps slow down the natural ageing of structures exposed to weather, pollution and repeated wetting.

ImperGuard® RF is completely invisible after application and does not change the appearance. It allows the material to breathe, letting moisture escape while keeping water out.

It also helps protect against microcracks of a maximum size of 0.3 mm and early signs of deterioration, extending the lifespan of concrete structures for many years. It stops alkali-silica or alkali-aggregate reactions of concretes and construction materials.

Surface preparation :

    The conditions of application and substrate preparation must comply with French unified code of practice DTU 59.1.
  • 2
    Apply the product to a clean, dust-free, grease-free and dry surface.
  • 3
    Clean using Guard Cleaner® Surface Preparation to open up the porosity of the concrete and allow optimum grip of the protection. This step also allows the elimination of traces of efflorescence, laitance or cement bloom. To renew in case of persistent traces.

    To remove grease stains, use Guard Cleaner® Maintenance.
  • 5
    Rinse carefully until the surface is free of any trace of cleaner.
  • 6
    Wait for complete drying through, approximately 24 hours before treatment.

Application :

  • Use the product in its pure form: do not dilute it.
  • Shake the packaging well before use and carry out a preliminary test.
  • Application is performed in 1 to 3 coats until the material is saturated depending on the material’s exposure to adverse weather conditions and harmful external factors. In exceptional cases, (tides, marine environments, etc.) application must be performed in 3 to 6 coats.
  • ImperGuard® RF may be covered 4 hours to 1 day after application by a protective product such as ProtectGuard® Special Concrete, ProtectGuard® Color or a paint.
  • Optimal efficiency reached after 14 days.
