Primer Guard Opacifier is a colour primer designed to even out uneven concrete tones and prepare the base before applying a protective or coloured coating. It helps correct visible colour differences, stains and marks, creating a more uniform appearance before finishing. Its opaque base improves colour consistency and enhances the final result when a full, even look is required.

At the same time, it improves how well the finishing product holds. It creates a strong bond that helps coatings stay in place on both porous and dense concrete.

1. Corrects colour defects

Primer Guard Opacifier allows you to hide and to strongly mitigate the aesthetic defects of the concrete and to even out the colour before applying the protection. Under an opaque layer, it will reinforce the colour of the stains ProtectGuard Color Anti Graffiti when full coverage is required.

2. Gripping primer

Primer Guard Opacifier is a product intended to be used as a primer before any application of Guard Industry two-component products on all types of concrete. It facilitates adhesion by its ability to bond strongly to porous or low porous concrete. Primer Guard Opacifier leaves the support permeable to air and water vapour.

Surface preparation :

Apply the product to a clean, dust-free, grease-free and dry surface.

To remove traces of efflorescence, laitance or grout film, use Guard Cleaner® Surface Preparation.

To remove grease stains, use Guard Cleaner® Maintenance.

Rinse carefully until the surface is free of any trace of cleaner.

Wait for complete drying through, approximately 24 hours before treatment.

Application :

Use the product in its pure form: do not dilute it.
Mix the product well with an electric stirrer for 2 minutes before use and test beforehand.
Apply from bottom to top.
Apply in an even layer.
Apply the two-component product within 4 to 48 hours following the application of Primer Guard^® Opacifier
NOTE: the support must remain dust and rain free until the application of the intended finishing product. It is also imperative that the primer is sticky when touched.
