PRECAUTIONS :

  • When applying WoodGuard Color Special Flooring, follow the direction of the wood grain.
  • For best results lightly, sand down between applications with fine grade abrasive paper, to smooth any raising on the wood grain.
  • Keep in a dry place (between 5°C and 30°C).
  • Storage: 12 months following the production date when kept in the original unopened container.

APPLICATION

  • Ensure the product is thoroughly agitated (shaken or stirred) before and during application, otherwise finish and colour variations may occur.
  • Check that wood moisture content < 18%.
  • Ensure the surface is clean, dust-free and dry before application. Temperature should be > 10°C.
  • If the surface needs pre-treatment, we recommend using WoodGuard Revitalizer.
  • Do not use on varnished, painted or polished wood.
  • Do not apply in rain or excessive heat (> 30°C).
  • The product is ready to use; do not dilute.
  • For soft wood, exotic wood, oak and walnut, and for wood which has been treated with a fire retardent carry out a trial on a small, discreet area. Allow to dry for 24 hrs.
  • Apply evenly, but not to excess.
  • 2 applications “wet on dry” are necessary.
  • Drying time between applications: 1 hour at 20°C.
  • Protect from rain for 24 hours
  • Optimal protection obtained after 5 to 7 days.

MAINTENANCE

Any domestic stains can then be cleaned with a sponge using to neutral cleaner.
