PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

WoodGuard® AntiGraffiti is a next generation product for the protection of untreated and restored wood. It can be used on cladding, gates, shutters, panelling, garden furniture, and any non-flooring wood surface.

WoodGuard® AntiGraffiti is a 2 active components ensure long lasting protection for any vertical wood surfaces, whether untreated or painted, against graffiti and marks of any kind (paint, marker pens…), as well as water and grease stains. WoodGuard® AntiGraffiti can be used indoors and outdoors on any type of wood to help retain the natural aesthetics of the wood: teak, pine, exotic wood, oak…

WoodGuard® AntiGraffiti offers a permanent protection of treated surfaces. Repeated cleaning - using anti-graffiti cleaner GraffiGuard® 2050 will not affect protected surface, requiring a single application of WoodGuard® AntiGraffiti.

WoodGuard® AntiGraffiti penetrates all the wood fibres giving protection against graffiti, humidity, grease or other stains without affecting the natural structure and aspect of the wood (veins, fibres…). It remains completely transparent after application.

COVERAGE PER LITRE

This depends on the wood absorbency. The figures below are intended as a guide: 4 to 8 m² / litre

USAGE

  • Apply the product to a clean, dust-free and dry surface. Temperature needs to be > 10°C.
  • If the surface needs to be cleared beforehand, we recommend using WoodGuard® Revitalizer.
  • Do not apply to wood which is varnished or polished.
  • Do not apply during rain or excessive heat
  • For wood which has been treated with a fire retardent carry out a trial on a small area.
  • Thoroughly shake product A before use.
  • Slowly add product B, stirring constantly, to product A. Use an electric mixer and keep stirring at moderate speed until you obtain a homogenous mix (approximately 5 to 15 minutes, depending on quantity).
  • Let the mix rest 15 to 30 minutes, uncovered, and mix again for 1 minute before use.
  • The resulting mix can be used for 6 hours at a room temperature of 25°C or below. If the temperature is higher, prepare the product in smaller quantities. Do not use the product after 6 hours.

To control the application process and for best results, apply WoodGuard® AntiGraffiti using a HVLP spray gun. You can also use a brush or roller.

  • Apply evenly to avoid forming a thick, non-breathable coating.
  • Protect from rain for 24 hours.
  • Optimal protection obtained after 5 to 7 days.

1st coat:

  • Apply WoodGuard® AntiGraffiti diluted with water 5% to 10% maximum. Mix well. The first application will both soak into the wood and help the second application forms a film on the surface.
  • Allow to dry for half an hour to an hour at 20°C. The first coat must be dry and non-sticky before you apply a second coat.

2nd coat:

  • Lightly sand to obtain a smooth surface and remove any protruding wood fibres.
  • Evenly apply a second coat using undiluted WoodGuard® AntiGraffiti.
  • If a third coat is necessary, repeat the instructions given for the second coat. Wait for the surface to be completely dry before applying any additional coat.
