WoodGuard® Special Flooring is a next generation product for the protection of untreated and restored wood. It can be used on decking, wood floors and any horizontal surface.

WoodGuard® Special Flooring offers high resistance to abrasion and scratches, which makes it an ideal treatment for wood floors. Wood treated with WoodGuard® Special Flooring will be protected against decay, and UV plus will be easier to clean; WoodGuard® Special Flooring helps to keep the wood looking new and clean for much longer.

Unlike polish and wood preservers, WoodGuard® Special Flooring becomes part of the fabric of the surface and does not form a film on the wood; it does not flake, blister or yellow. Completely transparent even after application, it penetrates into the wood fibres, rendering them completely water-repellent and resistant to stains (even greasy stains) without affecting the structure and natural aspect of the wood (veins, fibres).

Its advanced technology formulation allows WoodGuard® Special Flooring to reduce slipperiness.

COVERAGE PER LITRE

This depends on the wood absorbency. The figures below are intended as a guide: 8 to 12 m² / litre

USAGE

Ensure the product is thoroughly agitated (shaken or stirred) before and during application, otherwise finish and colour variations may occur.
Check that wood moisture content < 18%.
Ensure the surface is clean, dust-free and dry before application. Temperature should be above 10°C.
If the surface needs pre-treatment hand, we recommend using WoodGuard^® Revitalizer.
Do not use on varnished, painted or polished wood.
Do not apply in rain or excessive heat (> 40°C).
The product is ready to use; do not dilute.
For soft wood, exotic wood, oak and walnut, and for wood which has been treated with a fire retardent carry out a trial on a small, discreet area. Allow to dry for 24 hrs.
Apply evenly, but not to excess.
2 applications “wet on dry” are necessary.
Drying time between applications: 1 hour at 20°C.
Protect from rain for 24 hours.
Optimal protection obtained after 5 to 7 days.
