PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

WoodGuard® Prois a next generation product for the protection of untreated and restored wood. It can be used on cladding, gates, shutters, panelling, garden furniture, and any non-flooring wood surface.

WoodGuard® Pro exhibits exceptional resistance in all weather conditions including UV making it an ideal product for outdoor use. It can also be used indoor to help retain the natural aesthetics of the wood: teak, pine, exotic wood, oak…

A surface treated with WoodGuard® Pro will be protected against decay, and UV plus will be easier to clean; WoodGuard® Pro helps to keep the wood looking new and clean for much longer.

Completely transparent even after application, it penetrates the wood fibres, rendering them water-repellent and resistant to stains (even greasy stains) without affecting the structure and natural aspect of the wood (veins, fibres).

COVERAGE PER LITRE

This depends on the wood absorbency. The figures below are intended as a guide: 8 to 12 m² / litre

USAGE

Ensure the product is thoroughly agitated (shaken or stirred) before and during application, otherwise finish and colour variations may occur.
Check that wood moisture content < 18%.
Ensure the surface is clean, dust-free and dry before application. Temperature should be above 10°C.
If the surface needs pre-treatment hand, we recommend using WoodGuard^® Revitalizer.
Do not use on varnished, painted or polished wood.
Do not apply in rain or excessive heat (> 40°C).
The product is ready to use; do not dilute.
For soft wood, exotic wood, oak, walnut, and for wood which has been treated with a fire retardent carry out a trial on a small, discreet area. Allow to dry for 24 hrs.
Apply evenly, but not to excess.
2 applications “wet on wet” are necessary to saturate the substrate.
Protect from rain for 24 hours.

Optimal protection obtained after 5 to 7 days.
